Everything you need to know about OneWorldJackpot
Basics & How to Play
OneWorldJackpot is a global, decentralized lottery built on a smart contract. This means it's not controlled by a company but runs autonomously on the blockchain. Every ticket gives you a chance to win the entire jackpot, which is made up of all the participants' contributions.
It's simple:
- Connect your crypto wallet MetaMask to the website.
- Make sure you have enough USDC on the Polygon PoS network for the tickets. You will also need the network's native token POL for paying transaction fees. Note that transaction fees on Polygon PoS are most of the time below $0.05.
- Select the number of tickets you want to buy and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
That's it! Your tickets are now registered in the system, and you're in the next draw.
We retain a small service fee of 5% of the total jackpot. This covers platform operating costs, smart contract gas fees, Chainlink VRF oracle, and Chainlink Automation costs.
95% of the entire jackpot pool goes directly to the winner. There are no hidden fees, withdrawal charges, or additional deductions of any kind.
Fairness & Transparency
This is the biggest advantage of our lottery! We use Chainlink VRF (Verifiable Random Function), the standard for provably fair random number generation on the blockchain.
Unlike traditional lotteries where you have to trust the operator, the random number here is generated by a decentralized network (Chainlink) and is cryptographically secured. No one—not even us—can influence or predict the outcome.
No one and everyone at the same time. All ticket purchases (USDC) are stored directly in a smart contract on the blockchain.
Think of the smart contract as a perfectly neutral robot that can only execute the rules written in its code. It holds the funds securely until the draw occurs and then automatically transfers the prize to the winner. There is no company or person who could misuse the money.
No. Once the smart contract is deployed to the blockchain, its code cannot be changed. The rules are set in stone and are publicly visible to everyone.
The contract is programmed to pay out the funds under only one condition: to the address determined as the winner by the random number from Chainlink VRF .
On the blockchain! Every single transaction—every ticket purchase, every prize payout—is completely transparent and can be viewed by anyone at any time using a blockchain explorer like Polygonscan .

Probability of Winning
The probability of winning is directly proportional to the number of tickets you hold in relation to the total number of tickets sold in a given round. The selection process is fundamentally fair, ensuring every ticket has an equal chance of being chosen.
The probability, PW, that you are the winner can be expressed by the following formula:
Where:
- Tu represents the number of tickets you own (your tickets).
- Tt represents the total number of tickets sold in the round (total tickets).
Example: If you purchase 50 tickets and a total of 2,000 tickets are sold in the round, your probability of winning is:
This corresponds to a 2.5% chance of winning the entire jackpot. The more tickets you own, the higher your share of the total pool, and thus the greater your probability of winning.
The Draw & Winnings
As of now, draws take place every Sunday at 6:00 PM UTC and every Thursday at 6:00 AM UTC . The corresponding smart contract parameter is cutoffTimestamp. You can purchase tickets up to 60 seconds before the draw begins (cutoffBuffer).
The drawing at preset timestamps is fully automated in a decentralized way using Chainlink Automation . After each draw, cutoffTimestamp is shifted by advanceInterval automatically and decentrally.
The countdown timer on our homepage shows exactly when the next draw will occur.
Automatically! As soon as the winner is determined, the smart contract instantly transfers the entire jackpot (minus a small fee to maintain the service) directly to the winner's wallet address.
You don't need to claim anything or wait.
If the countdown ends and no tickets have been sold, the round is simply skipped. The countdown is reset for the next round, and there is no winner for the empty round.
